OCT made easy
The fully-automated iScan boasts a simple plug-and-play design with wireless connectivity, for quick-and-easy use. Its compact footprint makes it ideal for a range of clinical settings.
Please tell me more about iScan
iScan is quick and easy-to-use. Simply enter the patient’s information, properly position the patient and touch to start. iScan vocally guides the patient with a choice of 11 different languages. It offers a fully-comprehensive range of scans covering the macula, optic disc and anterior segment.
Fully-integrated OCT system
iScan offers a fully-integrated system which includes a full suite of retina, optic nerve and anterior segment scans. It detects the eye to be scanned, aligns the camera over the pupil and optimises the scan signal strength. After completing scan acquisition, iScan evaluates each scan to ensure quality data has been captured.
Full suite of retinal scans
The iScan performs a full suite of retinal scans, including; retina mapping with normative comparison and retina change analysis. The retina map is an effective tool for assessing retinal swelling and thinning as well as evaluating the integrity of the macula area. A 3D scan can also be performed with En-face analysis. This enables virtual dissection of the retina by displaying three different reference planes - Inner Limiting Membrane (ILM), Inner Plexiform Layer (IPL) and Retinal Pigment Epithelium (RPE).
Comprehensive optic nerve scans for glaucoma
The comprehensive optic nerve scans provide Ganglion Cell Complex (GCC) thickness mapping as well as RNFL and optic disc trend analysis. The optic nerve head analysis provides a detailed view of the nerve head with a study of the thickness of the retinal nerve fibre and cup/disc parameters. In addition, the iScan can provide an optic nerve head and GCC combination report with normative comparison.
Anterior segment imaging
The iScan includes non-contact, high-resolution scan acquisition of the cornea and the anterior chamber angle, providing a detailed view of the anterior segment. Pachymetric mapping can also be performed, allowing the evaluation of corneal thickness, an essential tool for the monitoring of glaucoma.
Epithelial Thickness Mapping (ETM)
The anterior segment module offers a 6mm diameter epithelial thickness map with minimum thickness marker. Epithelial Thickness Mapping (ETM) aids the clinician in evaluating potential Keratoconus, LASIK/LASEK/PRK planning, tracking epithelial regrowth, dry eye and contact lens patients.
Specialty contact lens fitting
The Vault Mapping tool enables precise visualization of the lens-to-eye relationship for specialty lens fitting. The user can evaluate central corneal clearance in exact microns with the vault map report, and measure lens settling between the first and second scan with the change map. Superior, temporal, inferior and nasal landing zones can also be evaluated with the anterior display report.
iWellness exam software
The iWellness software elevates your comprehensive eye exam with detailed information on the health of the retina. It enables a simple scan evaluation process to ensure quality data is being captured. The software offers a single scan to aid in the early detection of pathology.
Portable & compact design
iScan’s space-saving footprint makes it ideal for small spaces and the table top design offers the flexibility to place it in any room in the practice. iScan weighs in at only 43 pounds, making it easy to move the instrument from room to room or practice to practice. Setting up the system is as easy as plugging in the power cord and unlocking the system.
iScan’s innovative software-assisted platform makes it ideal for practices with limited staff resources. Operating iScan is simple, requires minimal training and delivers consistent scan acquisition. iScan delivers a traffic light reporting system for easy interpretation of scans.
