Precautions
Avoid examinations in case of eye infections or injured corneas!
- There is no contraindication for applications of contact glasses. Medical assessment is necessary and due care is to be exercised in case of infections of the eye and injuries to the cornea.
Only clean and disinfected contact glasses should be used!
- Examinations should only be conducted with cleaned and disinfected contact glasses.
- Contact glasses are not dispatched in a disinfected state and should always be disinfected before use.
- The disinfecting of contact glasses eg. with cotton wool or damp cloth without putting them into disinfecting fluid is insufficient and not allowed.
- Incorrect medical disinfecting can cause patients to be infected and can also cause damage to the eyes.
- Residue of the disinfecting solution may cause damage and provoke caustic reactions on the patient's eye, therefore rinse thoroughly.
- Cleaning and disinfecting is to be carried out according to chapter 5 Disinfection' of the instruction manual and short manual.
No damaged contact glasses should be used!
- Defective contact glasses should not be used, in order to avoid any damage to the cornea of the patient.
