The solution for demanding cases

Get ready for the future in optical biometry

New LENSTAR LS 900 Software provides the user with an improved measurement algorithm leading to up to two times more speed in the measurement acquisition.

In parallel the Shammas No-History method for the calculation of post LASIK and PRK eye has been introduced. The IOL calculation method where no clinical history is available.

Speed up your workflow...

Post LASIK ready, Shammas Non-History formula included

The Shammas Non-History formula included with i3.000 of EyeSuite provides the user with an easy to use formula for myopic as well as hyperopic post LASIK patients. The formula does not need any clinical history to work with simply select Shammas Non-History from the formula list and the result is immediately displayed.

Even tough the Shammas Non-History formula is a handy and accurate tool to directly calculate post LASIK eyes with EyeSuite IOL, it remains the recommendation of Haag-Streit to relay specifically for those very demanding cases not only on the result of one formula but to consult the ASCRS post refractive calculator (http://iol.ascrs.org/) on line and get the result of all calculation procedures available based on the entered data.

LENSTAR at Lightspeed, EyeSuite Biometry up to two times faster…

The new measurement procedure allows the user to improve the measurement speed up to two times. Internal tests showed that the time necessary to acquire a complete examination of 5 repetitive measurements on both eyes on a cooperative patient has been reduced to only 90 seconds in average.

The measurement routine now is continuous and the analysis of the individual results runs in the background, thus leading to a smooth measurement procedure. This not only leads to up to two times more speed but also to more patient comfort.

Biometry connected

EyeSuite biometry for the LENSTAR® LS 900 not only provides the user with complete biometry of the entire eye, including lens thickness, but also allows direct connection and use of this valuable data with the most advanced IOL calculation tools like Holladay IOL Consultant by Jack T. Holladay, MD, PhacoOptics by T. Olsen, MD or Okulix by P.-R. Preussner, MD.

Next to axial length and keratometry, the effective lens position is paramount for accurate IOL prediction1.). LENSTAR® LS 900 is the only biometer on the market providing the user with biometry of the entire eye, including pachymetry, anatomic anterior chamber depth and lens thickness. These parameters can now directly be used in the above mentioned software tools to improve the IOL prediction accuracy, specifically in demanding cases such as hyperopic, myopic and post LASIK eyes. Due to the open architecture of the LENSTAR® / EyeSuite system, third party IOL calculation software is directly installed on the biometer, thus improving the workflow efficacy dramatically. No more transcription errors, no more shuffling of memory sticks between computers. This software upgrade is free for all users of the LENSTAR® LS 900 optical biometer.

Haag-Streit introduced script technology with EyeSuite. This open interface allows easy connection of the LENSTAR optical biometer to electronic medical record systems. Data is transferred automatically in user definable text or xml format or as PDF, providing most flexibility and again improving practice workflow.
