Diffuser

This accessory diffuses the light to provide an improved general overview of the eye when the slit lamp is used at low magnification. Additionally it can be used for contact lens fitting as a wider region of the eye is illuminated.

New slit lamps are supplied with a diffuser however they can be easily lost. Replacements can be very easily clipped in place. For older instruments a different type of diffuser is held in place by two small screws.
